Since 2021, Crewkerne Town Council has been working with the community to produce a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for the town. The process is being led by the Crewkerne Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group (CNPSG), which is made up of representatives of the community, various groups and town councillors.
The Crewkerne Neighbourhood Plan will be a community-led, land-based plan, which will guide future development, regeneration and conservation within the town from adoption to 2040.
Various pieces of work have been undertaken to inform the Plan, including a number of community wide surveys, drop in events, and more recently a Design Code for Crewkerne and a Housing Needs Assessment.
